Once the CLAT 2025 result is declared, candidates who qualify are required to participate in the centralized counselling process conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs).

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how students can apply for CLAT counselling 2025:

You must have appeared for CLAT 2025 and received a valid score and rank.

Your name should appear in the CLAT Counselling Invitation List, which includes candidates shortlisted based on merit (usually 5x the number of seats).

Step 1: Check Result & Counselling Invite

Visit the official CLAT website: https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Log in using your registered mobile number and password.

After results are declared, check if you’re included in the ā€œCounselling Invite Listā€.

Step 2: Register for Counselling

If invited:

1. Log in to your CLAT account.

2. Click on ā€œRegister for Counsellingā€.

3. Pay the Counselling Registration Fee:

₹30,000 for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates

₹20,000 for SC/ST candidates

Step 3: Fill NLU Preferences

You must fill your preference order of all participating 24 NLUs for BA LLB or LLM.

Step 4: Wait for Seat Allotment (Round 1)

The Consortium will release Round 1 of Seat Allotment based on:

Your CLAT rank

Your category

Your NLU preferences

Seat availability

Step 5: Choose Your Action (After Allotment)

After you are allotted a seat, you will get 3 options:

1ļøāƒ£ Accept and Lock

Confirm the seat and lock it.

Upload required documents (listed below).

Wait for the allotted NLU to contact you.

2ļøāƒ£ Apply for Upgrade

Accept current seat, but also wish to be considered for a better option (higher preference) in the next round.

3ļøāƒ£ Exit from Counselling

You choose to quit the counselling process.

Eligible for refund if done within the official timeline.

Step 6: Upload Documents

You need to upload scanned copies of:

CLAT 2025 Scorecard

Class 10th and 12th Marksheet (For BA LLB)

LLB Marksheet (For LLM)

Category Certificate (if applicable)

Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

PwD Certificate (if applicable)

Any other documents as specified by your allotted NLU

Step 7: Wait for Final Admission Instructions

The allotted NLU will verify your documents.

If approved, you’ll be asked to pay the remaining admission fee.

You’ll get details about reporting, classes, and hostel (if applicable).
